17 Days and Counting!

We spent this past week doing a good deal of traveling. We left last Thursday for a trip to Saginaw, MI. We made it as far as my grandma's house in Winfield, IL Thursday night. It was nice to be able to have some breakfast with her before we headed out, although my stomach was still upset from the food poisoning I had given myself a couple days before! By the end of the day we had driven all the way to Saginaw, and I was feeling much better.

We had a really great weekend with our friends the Troutman's. We also got to meet a lot of people from their church, Crosspoint Chapel. Rob let me have 15 minutes in the service on Sunday to do a presentation, which went very well. Everybody really enjoyed the pictures. It worked out great that we went that particular Sunday as they were doing a church picnic and baptisms at the lake. This provided a lot of opportunities for us to build relationships with the people from their church. We had a really great time! The elder board is going to be talking about supporting us, which would be really good.

On our way home we spent some time with my family in Crystal Lake. We also did a little presentation for a group from Gracepointe church. My family used to attend there, so it was great to see some of our old friends and share how God is unfolding our story!

We had a couple of relatively quiet days here in the Wisconsin Dells at Sarah's parents, and now we're getting ready to head out again for a little bit of traveling. This afternoon we will be up in La Crosse, visiting people from La Crescent Evangelical Free church. We can't wait to see those guys! We got word from the missions committee that they will be supporting us this next year, so praising God for that! After spending Sunday morning up at La Crescent, we will be heading back to Baraboo to set up for a potluck that will be happening at 6 pm at our home church, Walnut Hill Bible Church. We will be sharing a presentation about PNG and then answering any questions people have.

We are also hammering out the details today for the laser tag fundraiser we will be doing out at Chula Vista. We are very excited to be partnering with the Dyer family and their business partners to raise some money for our training to get the gospel out to people who have no access to it! Be on the lookout for details regarding that fundraiser!
