I rolled out of bed right around 5:45 AM this morning with a surprisingly little amount of effort. I think my body is starting to get used to getting up early. I donned running clothes, kissed Sarah goodbye, and headed out the door to go for a run at Devil's Lake. The weather has been warming up, so I was hoping that all the snow and ice would be melted off the trails. I was quite wrong, and I ended up turning around after ½ a mile of running on 6 inches of snow and ice! Unabated, I headed back to the house and spent some time with my Bible and a cup of coffee.

My day at work went well, helped along by the products of my wife's amazing cooking, aka banana bread and onion bagels. I almost fried my brain with some inventory numbers, but other than that work was uneventful.

The temperatures soared up past 55 degrees today, and I was not about to let any of that sunshine go to waste. I headed out for an evening run while Sarah was at girl's night, which proved to be very nice. I was able to run in shorts, which felt great! I did a 4.5 mile loop that took me along the Baraboo river and then up through Oschner Park. It was even warm enough to do a little barefoot sprint through a field at Oschner, which was very liberating!

It feels like the world is coming alive again as spring is upon us! I can't wait to see what adventures this year holds!
