Settled into Baraboo, WI

Studying Tok Pisin
Well, we are all settled into Baraboo, WI once again! We have grown to love this little town, and especially our home church, Walnut Hill Bible Church. We are very excited to be spending this next year and a half to two years in this area as we prepare to reach the unreached.

Our drive back to Wisconsin from Los Fresnos, TX was very encouraging and free from any car trouble, which is awesome! We got to visit with many friends and family along the way, stopping by almost every big city in Texas! We visited Houston, San Antonio, the outskirts of Austin, and then spent two hours on a shut-down highway just outside of Dallas! It was really nice to be able to take time to visit with family and friends, updating supporters of our ministry all along the way.

We finally made it back to Baraboo on June 14th. We spent that week unpacking and settling in, and then went down to visit my parents in Illinois for the weekend. It was great to get to spend time with them, as they hadn't seen Jemimah since March. We celebrated Jem's birthday, as well as mine.

This last week I was helping out at VBS, teaching in the missions room. It was great to get the opportunity to help lead the kids in the study of missions! It was a blast doing ministry with people from Walnut Hill again as well.

This week's reading material
We also spent some time this week preparing for our trip to visit my grandparents out in the state of Washington. I haven't seen them for like 7 years, so we are excited to be heading out there. We have also been working on learning Tok Pisin, the trade language in Papua New Guinea, as we prepare to head there for a short trip in August.

One of my responsibilities as a Missionary Appointee is to grow my practical skills. I've been focusing on small engine repair this last week, going through an awesome book from Cool Springs Press. It helped me to get Stephanie's lawnmower back up and running! So far we are enjoying our time in Baraboo!

Back in business!
