Out West

Palisades State Park, SD
We spent the last couple weeks on a trip to visit my grandparents in the state of Washington. We took it really slow and stayed in cabins all along the way, which was very relaxing. It was great for our family to have a little vacation after a packed year of missionary training. Jemimah traveled really well, which was great! My grandparents really enjoyed getting to meet her and spend time feeding her too much ice cream!

We are eagerly looking forward to our trip to Papua New Guinea, which is coming up in 9 days! We've been practicing the trade language, Melanesian pidgin or "Tok Pisin" as we excitedly anticipate communicating with the PNG nationals! I am very excited for our time with the Sissons and Sanders, as well as for the opportunity for friends around the mission station to get to meet Sarah and Jemimah.

Please be in prayer for us as we prepare for this trip. Although we feel God leading us to the type of ministry that is going on in PNG, we feel it is wise for us to visit as a family before making a final decision to serve there long-term. Please pray for clarity and wisdom for us! Also pray that Jemimah would travel well, that we would have much patience in order to be Christ-like with all the traveling, and that we would have a good time of fellowship with the missionaries and nationals. Thanks so much for all your support of this ministry!
